This Summer(date to be confirmed), ALIBI TOM, the first band to released on LEON, a Swedish indie rock act is releasing their debut album 'scrapbook'. Alibi Tom who has alrady been played on Radio Mix Megapol, 'The Tomme Show' (Gothenburg) and P3 (Swedish Radio Channnel) will this coming Saturday, 17th May, play a live session on Oxide (Oxford Student Radio). ALIBI TOM consists of five music bred characters from Gothenburg, brought together by friendship and the commitment to pursue music. Originating from Classical, Brit Pop and progressive backgrounds, this broad musical awareness form a platform in the band. A visionary, an organizer, a doer, a diplomat and an enthusiast joined to mediate feelings, satisfy a need to create and inspire their surroundings. The album could be described as energetic & inspiring with excellent melodies. You can hear the archetypal Swedish melancholy countered by an affirming warmth. There is a definite willingness to experiment and a refreshing honesty in the lyrics. Music intelligently put together, real yet filled with hope. The recorded material is more worked through than any previous material recorded by the band. It has challenged, developed, demanded, frustrated, and inspired the band. For the first time working with a producer, Joakim Sehlstedt, 'we have gone from focusing on details to also looking at the entirety of a song', says Markus. The importance of an outside perspective looking at the material 'has helped us to extract what defines Alibi Tom musically and helped us to become clearer in our expression', Erik continues. Daring to experiment more during the creative process, Alibi Tom have founda more open and creative way to work out arrangements.
